The services we offer include: Assurance of “consent” for treatment; medical history review; anticipatory guidance;
oral health education/instruction; hard and soft tissue assessment/triage; dental hygiene prophylaxis, periodontal assessment and diagnosis, dental charting, dental screening, full mouth debridement, Local anesthesia, Partial quadrant and full quadrant scaling and root planing.
Dietary/nutritional assessment; fluoride varnish (~6months); placement of silver diamine fluoride, dental sealants and temporary restorations referral for further diagnosis and/or treatment services as needed; recommended recall frequency. Our basic services provided are: cleaning teeth, providing education, administering dental screenings, and applying silver diamine fluoride to arrest caries (cavities). We also place Fuji sealant as a long-lasting tooth sealant. Studies have shown that Fuji sealants remain in place for seven to nine years after placement. The system we use will buy time until the children lose their baby teeth or follow through with their referral for dental treatment. We will also apply a xylitol based fluoride to prevent or arrest smaller cavities until the child is able to be seen by a dentist. Our services reduce dental anxiety and help to eliminate the need for children to go under general anesthesia for dental treatment, as well as improve their quality of life.
